Sri Siddhartha Polytechnic is managed by the Indigenous People Educational Trust (R), an organisation that has been active in the field of education for over three decades, working to uplift human resources through different streams of education across the region.
The institution received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi under AICTE File No. 770-53-301/SWRO/2010, dated 02-08-2010, for the establishment of diploma programmes in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, following recommendation from the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Karnataka (DTE, Govt. of Karnataka Letter No. DTE/66/DVP(2)/2009 dated 21.07.2010).
Since then, the college has grown into a 15-acre, self-owned campus offering a full range of diploma engineering education, supported by dedicated laboratories, a library, hostel facilities and its own transport, all aimed at improving the awareness and importance of technical education among rural and urban communities.
The Trust also runs a free residential school as part of its broader commitment to education and social welfare in the region.
